The campaign "One Pack = One Vaccine" organized by UNICEF and Pampers aims at raising funds for tetanus vaccines for African mothers and their newborns. Pampers will donate to the United Nations Children's Fund the cost of 1 vaccine for every specially marked pack of pampers sold.
Actress Salma Hayek is the official spokesperson of the global initiative. As a young mother she is involved in the initiative and helps raising the funds for this noble cause. Every country involved in the initiative has its Goodwill Ambassador to represent it.
The joint campaign of UNICEF and Pampers in Bulgaria was officially launched on 23 September 2008. Iva Doichinova was selected as the official ambassador. A mother-of-two, she is the host of the bTV show "Mummy's Hour" and a long-standing journalist in the Bulgarian National Television and Radio "FM+".
The initiative in Bulgaria in 2009 and 2010 raised the cost of around 1.2 million tetanus vaccines with the help of thousands of Bulgarian mothers.
