UNICEF Bulgaria has introduced a fast, easy, VAT free channel for monthly donations via mobile phone. All that the subscribers of the three Bulgrian mobile operators have to do is to send a text message with number "2" or "5" to the number 1021.

The text of the SMS corresponds to the value of the monthly donation. Upon sending the SMS the donation of 2 or 5 BGN will be automatically added each month to the bill of the donor. This donation channel is part of UNICEF’s monthly donation programme BLAGODETEL (Benefactor). Terms and conditions are available in Bulgarian language here.

One of the most popular and beloved Bulgarian artists Vladi Ampov –GRAFA supports UNICEF’s initiatives through his autumn tour. The tour “Together for the Children of Bulgaria” will pass through 7 Bulgarian cities and end with a grand finale in Sofia on the 12th of November. Grafa, a supporter of UNICEF, will now donate 50% of the concert ticket price to UNICEF. Tickets can be purchased online at www.eventim.bg, www.ticketportal.bg and the Ticket center of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.

The funds raised  by this campaign will support UNICEF's program "Family for Every Child". Furthermore, the raised funds will also support the development of the "Center for Maternal and Child Health," which was opened in the Shumen region a month ago as well as the opening of such centers in other cities.

As part of its global mandate to support the implementation of and the compliance with children's rights around the world, UNICEF aims to support the development of fundraising in Bulgaria by introducing new channels for donations. By doing so, the organization supports charity by making it available to people and facilitates local NGOs to raise funds for their programs.

UNICEF is working in close cooperation with partners who are dedicated to the idea of respecting the rights of children and enhancing their well-being. Each of them provides a variety of resources - experience, skills, labour, technology, etc. The development and implementation of this innovative for Bulgaria channel for donations would not be possible without the support of TERACOMM, who have provided their expertise in creating the service and in continuing to support it pro-bono, Mobiltel, GLOBUL and VIVACOM who have provided their customers with the opportunity to be regular donors and last but not least the Happy Bar & Grill restaurant chain which has continuously promoted the donation channel  to the general public. All broadcast television, radio, digital and outdoor media provide advertising of the campaign for pro bono.

Success is not a single event. Childhood does not last a moment. Children need care and attention every day, every minute, constantly.
