World's Largest Lesson

The World’s Largest Lesson inspires the new generation to create a better, more just and sustainable future

Teachers and students from all over the world take part in “The World’s Largest Lesson” initiative in September in order to help turn our planet into a just, healthy and sustainable place for living. The aim of the initiative is to acquaint the young generation with the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to become engaged in children’s and the whole planet’s future.

The 17 global goals strive towards the accomplishments of 3 exceptional achievements in the next 15 years, in the 3 main spheres of sustainable development – the economic, social and ecological ones, namely:

:: Eradicate of extreme poverty
:: Overcome inequality and injustice
:: Cope with climate changes

The Sustainable Development Goals were signed by the leaders of 193 countries around the world and presented by the United Nations on September 25.

The Ministry of Education and Science (Official letter) is UNICEF Bulgaria’s partner in the initiative for the popularization of the Sustainable Development Goals and encouraged every school in Bulgaria to acquaint students with these goals.

Join teachers and students from all over the world in the popularization of the Goals in the week that starts on 28 September 2015. Let’s learn the most important global lesson that will have a crucial role in life and future of the Earth along with the youth.

Let’s inspire the young generation by initiating changes in every classroom and in ourselves!

Teach a lesson or even a few lessons dedicated to the Global Goals – we can equip you with specifically developed educational materials that include drafted lessons, a poster and educational film. All adapted lesson plans are available in Bulgarian. For more information see the link here
